This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Vendor Management / Gestionnaire de projet, gestion des fournisseurs based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to coordinate clinical research projects from initiation through closeout while taking ownership of critical vendor relationships.
You will work across Sponsors, vendors, clinical teams, and internal functions to keep projects aligned with scope, timelines, quality, and budget.
The position combines structured project management with hands-on oversight of vendor performance, deliverables, risks, and documentation.
You will contribute to meaningful clinical research in a science-driven and innovative environment where collaboration is highly valued.
The role provides exposure to cross-functional teams, international projects, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial operations.
It is well suited to an experienced clinical research professional looking to strengthen their project and vendor management expertise.

• Lead or support the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout of assigned clinical research projects, ensuring activities remain aligned with approved scope, timelines, budgets, SOPs, GCP, regulatory requirements, and study-specific expectations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for Sponsors, vendors, internal project teams, and other stakeholders, coordinating communication, priorities, tasks, deadlines, and project updates.
• Coordinate site activation activities, including site selection and feasibility, qualification and initiation activities, essential documentation, training, recruitment monitoring, and follow-up on site-related issues and timelines.
• Coordinate internal resources and support project teams to ensure appropriate prioritization of activities, adequate training, quality deliverables, and effective execution across the study lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance, reconcile study trackers, identify discrepancies between planned and actual results, and contribute to corrective actions, change control, risk management, and escalation processes.
• Support the preparation and review of operational plans, project documentation, study deliverables, regulatory submissions, TMF quality reviews, monitoring activities, and other materials required to maintain inspection readiness.
• Collaborate with Data Management and other functional teams to support CRF compliance, query resolution, data review, and study timelines through database lock.
• Oversee assigned vendors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring services, deliverables, milestones, quality standards, and budgets remain aligned with contractual and study requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned vendors, facilitating communication with Sponsors and internal stakeholders and leading or participating in vendor meetings and follow-up activities.
• Review vendor work orders, budgets, scopes of work, invoices, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and consistency with approved requirements and project progress.
• Monitor vendor KPIs, performance, risks, issues, deviations, and quality events, supporting corrective and preventive actions and performance improvement initiatives when required.
• Ensure vendor documentation is complete, current, and appropriately maintained within the TMF and applicable systems.
• Maintain constructive vendor relationships while holding vendors accountable for contractual commitments, quality expectations, and project performance.
• Provide technical, therapeutic, and project management expertise to support training, process improvement, and departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or clinical research field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role involving clinical study management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or CRO industry.
• At least 2 years of experience coordinating clinical trial management activities.
• Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH standards, FDA requirements, and Canadian clinical research regulations.
• Demonstrated experience managing small to medium-sized projects using a structured and disciplined project management approach.
• Experience developing and executing resource-based project plans and coordinating activities across matrixed teams.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, including site activation, monitoring, documentation, recruitment, regulatory activities, and study closeout.
• Experience with vendor management, including oversight of scopes of work, budgets, deliverables, performance, risks, and quality issues, is highly valuable.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office and strong ability to work with project tracking and documentation tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; French language proficiency is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Sponsors, vendors, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated people management skills and experience working with teams in a matrix environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and accuracy.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
