Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Worker to join our team at our Dufferin Mall in Toronto, ON. If you have an ability to diagnose issues, identify solutions and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this exciting opportunity is perfect for you!

Vacancy Status: Replacements

As a Maintenance Worker, your primary responsibility is to perform day to day maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants by;

• Performing daily property inspections and promptly reporting repair needs
• Conducting minor property repairs and maintenance tasks including but not limited to dry walling, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical
• Ensuring property safety and respond to tenant concerns
• Maintaining property cleanliness and curb appeal
• Collaborating with contractors, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in coordinating work with stakeholders

Requirements:

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are customer service focused and have a can do attitude. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required, college diploma an asset
• 1 year experience in a similar field
• Knowledge of a trade or HVAC, etc. an asset
• Experience in building maintenance with working knowledge if plumbing, drywall, and tile work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to operate power tools & equipment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic PC skills
• Strong communication skills
• CPR and First Aid certification an asset

Compensation:

At Primaris, we believe in rewarding talent with a competitive wage and comprehensive total compensation package. Your compensation is thoughtfully determined based on factors such as location, job level, relevant education or training, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, while ensuring internal equity and alignment with market data.

Expected Hourly Range: CAD $24.00 - $26.00.
