Our TorontoJobs.ca client is looking for a Tax Senior (CPA) to join their growing team of tax accountants. This role is ideal for an experienced and detail-oriented tax professional who is passionate about providing expert financial guidance to businesses and individuals.
About the Role:
As a Tax Senior , you will prepare and review business and individual tax returns while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will play a key role in advising clients on tax strategies, working closely with businesses of all sizes, and providing customized tax solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review business and individual tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and gift taxes.
- Handle individual federal and state tax returns across multiple states.
- Provide expert guidance on corporate and partnership tax matters .
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage and maintain financial records.
- Answer tax-related questions from staff and clients, offering strategic financial insights.
- Work independently while maintaining clear and proactive communication with clients and internal teams.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license required.
- 5-10 years of tax experience in public accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for tax preparation and financial analysis.
- Experience handling corporate, S-corporation, LLC, partnership, trust, and gift tax returns .
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work in a friendly and flexible work environment with a commitment to high-quality service.
- Potential for partnership opportunity within the firm.
