Are you passionate about end user support and want to work for a company that truly cares about their clients?

We are looking for an upbeat and proactive Deskside Consultant for our Edmonton branch to support our clients on-site in Edmonton! In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and provide an excellent customer experience, while building your experience and growing your career with Long View. 

A Day in the Life:

• Diagnose and resolve incidents associated with application software and operating systems and determine the source of issues and classify their urgency, impact, and nature
• Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment
• Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software
• Image workstations using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager and deploy workstations
• Identify and effectively communicate recurring issues and trends and assist with creating efficiencies and processes
• Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases with members of your team
• Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades
• Work with hardware and software vendors to assist in remediation of incidents, verify timely product delivery, and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
• Develop and maintain documentation related to end user experience and devices
• Must be able to travel to different client locations in and around Edmonton as required

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of IT support experience, including experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Service Desk or Desktop Support Role
• Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, remote access tools
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
• Experience with:
• -> Microsoft Office O365
• -> Remote support
• -> PC / printer hardware / VPN / Citrix
• -> Active Directory
• Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve them
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Post-secondary education in a related field
