Personal Care Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Cencora seeks a Personal Care Specialist for a 12-month remote contract role in Alberta. The specialist will serve as the primary contact for patients, managing reimbursement coordination, copay assistance, and pharmacy collaboration to facilitate medication access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary patient contact for reimbursement guidance and medication journey support
• Handle patient calls, gather information, and educate on program services and coverage options
• Coordinate prescription coverage and renewals with pharmacies, insurers, and healthcare partners
• Collaborate with Field Case Managers and care networks to ensure seamless patient onboarding
• Manage adverse event reporting and perform additional program support duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• 3+ years in pharmacy support, prior authorization, insurance verification, or healthcare administration
• Bilingual English/French (required for Quebec; asset elsewhere)
• HIPAA or applicable compliance training required
• Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare technology systems
• Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
