Food Service Manager Role at Schlegel Villages

Join The Village of Riverbank Terrace as an Assistant Food Services Manager in Ottawa, Ontario, and make a meaningful impact on our residents' dining experience. Bring your skills in food preparation and leadership to our dedicated team. In this permanent full-time position, you'll oversee all aspects of food services, including menu planning, team supervision, and compliance with health regulations. Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to quality service and have experience with the dietary needs of seniors. Communicating effectively with residents and families will be part of your daily responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct food services team activities
- Design and implement nutritious menus for elder care
- Ensure compliance with CCHSA/ORCA regulations
- Maintain effective communication with residents and caregivers
- Support a culture of quality service and resident satisfaction
- Experience in food preparation and financial oversight
- Active membership with Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening required
