A leading Canadian food manufacturing organization is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to join its team at its Montréal refinery. This is a hands-on position supporting the site's health and safety program across the refinery and office operations.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, supporting regulatory compliance, and strengthening the organization's safety culture. The position will work closely with site leadership, employees, Human Resources, and the Joint Health & Safety Committee.

The selected candidate will provide operational support across the site's Health & Safety program, with a focus on risk assessment, training, audits, emergency preparedness, incident prevention, and continuous improvement. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees while helping ensure that safety programs and systems are effectively implemented throughout the facility.

The role requires a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable working in an industrial and unionized environment and can effectively balance field activities, program development, and multiple priorities.

• Identify and assess workplace hazards, develop appropriate action plans, and support the implementation of corrective measures to reduce risk.
• Provide guidance and coaching to management and employees on occupational health and safety requirements, best practices, and the implementation of the site's safety strategy.
• Coordinate health and safety activities including audits, inspections, emergency preparedness, Joint Health & Safety Committee activities, and safety training.
• Develop, implement, review, and maintain health and safety programs, training materials, and procedures in accordance with legislative and organizational requirements.
• Support incident prevention, investigations, return-to-work initiatives, and key safety management systems including lockout/tagout, confined space, WHMIS, and accident reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive Health & Safety experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in occupational health and safety, including risk assessment, audits, training, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working within a unionized environment, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organized and self-directed, with strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

Une importante entreprise canadienne du secteur de la fabrication alimentaire est à la recherche d’un(e) Coordonnateur(trice), Santé et sécurité pour se joindre à son équipe à sa raffinerie de Montréal. Il s’agit d’un poste terrain qui contribuera directement à la gestion et à l’amélioration du programme de santé et sécurité au sein de la raffinerie et des bureaux.

Relevant du directeur, Santé et sécurité, la personne retenue jouera un rôle clé dans l’identification et la réduction des risques, la conformité réglementaire et le renforcement de la culture de prévention. Elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec la direction, les employés, les ressources humaines ainsi que le comité de santé et sécurité.

La personne retenue fournira un soutien opérationnel à l’ensemble du programme de santé et sécurité, notamment en matière d’identification des risques, de formation, d’audits, de mesures d’urgence, de prévention des incidents et d’amélioration continue.

Cette personne agira également à titre de conseiller auprès des gestionnaires et des employés afin de favoriser l’application efficace des programmes, procédures et meilleures pratiques en santé et sécurité.

Le poste s’adresse à un(e) professionnel(le) SST autonome et terrain, à l’aise dans un environnement industriel et syndiqué, capable de gérer plusieurs priorités tout en maintenant une approche rigoureuse et collaborative.

• Identifier et évaluer les risques liés aux activités de travail, élaborer des plans d’action appropriés et soutenir la mise en œuvre des mesures correctives afin de réduire les risques.
• Conseiller et accompagner les gestionnaires et les employés relativement aux exigences en santé et sécurité, aux meilleures pratiques et à la mise en œuvre de la stratégie SST.
• Coordonner les activités de santé et sécurité, notamment les audits, inspections, mesures d’urgence, activités du comité de santé et sécurité et formations SST.
• Développer, implanter, réviser et maintenir les programmes, procédures et outils de formation en santé et sécurité conformément aux exigences légales et organisationnelles.
• Soutenir la prévention et l’enquête des incidents, les processus de retour au travail ainsi que les principaux systèmes de gestion SST, notamment le cadenassage, les espaces clos, le SIMDUT et la déclaration des accidents.

• Baccalauréat en santé et sécurité du travail ou dans une discipline connexe.
• 5 à 7 ans d’expérience progressive en santé et sécurité dans un environnement industriel, manufacturier ou similaire.
• Solide expérience terrain en santé et sécurité, notamment en identification des risques, audits, formation et conformité réglementaire.
• Expérience dans un environnement syndiqué, avec d’excellentes aptitudes en communication et en gestion des parties prenantes.
• Excellentes capacités d’organisation, d’autonomie et d’analyse, avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs projets et priorités simultanément.
