Primary responsibilities will be to design and detail OEM components for production to be used by our global customer base.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Design of customized mechanical parts and assemblies for the steel industry.
- Generate parametric models, assemblies, detail drawings, and BOMs using Autodesk Inventor.
- Participate in troubleshooting design, manufacturing, sales and quality challenges
- Create and maintain quality control and manufacturing documentation
- Make, maintain and review engineering changes
- Contribute to the Engineering departments document maintenance and organization
- Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the FABRIS Quality Management System
- Understand and follow the Fabris Health and Safety Management System
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in parametric modeling and creating detail drawings
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar software
- Experience with BOM, Visual ERP an asset
- Previous experience working in a design/manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and follow complex instructions
- Ability to provide imaginative and innovative thinking
- High attention to detail
- Ability to travel occasionally
