Your new role
We are currently seeking a qualified 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a well-established and privately owned leader in the metal recycling industry.
What you'll need to succeed
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repair and diagnostics on a range of heavy equipment used in recycling operations
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Carry out repairs and component replacements in a safe and efficient manner
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician licence
- Previous experience as a 421A Mechanic, ideally within an industrial or heavy equipment environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks
