Part Time Morning Caregiver

We’re a busy, warm family in Whitby looking for part-time morning help, Monday–Friday from 5:00–9:00 AM, with our three kids, ages 12, 9 and 5. The main focus of the role is helping their mornings run smoothly — getting the kids up, fed, organized and ready for school, and making sure everyone gets where they need to be. Because our kids are a little older, we’re really looking for someone who can connect and communicate well with them. Someone warm and upbeat who can provide structure, keep everyone moving in the morning, and create a positive, cheery environment — while also understanding that older kids have their own personalities and independence. We’d love someone who can genuinely get to know them and be another supportive adult in their lives. There is a very light housekeeping component, but this is primarily a childcare role. It would generally mean throwing in a load of laundry before leaving and tidying up anything left behind from the morning rush — breakfast dishes, kitchen counters, backpacks, etc. We’re not looking for someone to clean the house. What we’re looking for:

• Reliable and comfortable with a 5:00 AM start
• Warm, positive and genuinely enjoys being around kids
• Able to communicate well with pre-teens as well as younger children
• Comfortable providing structure and keeping mornings on track
• Organized, proactive and able to jump in where needed
• Previous childcare experience
