Dermatology Office Assistant
ALBERT & PARLIAMENT PRIMARY HEALTH CARE CENTRE
We are currently seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized individual to join our dermatology team in a part-time support role within our medical office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, is comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is willing to grow with our team as the role evolves.
The successful candidate will assist with patient care during light therapy treatments and provide administrative support within our dermatology clinic. Hours will vary based on the physician's bi-weekly clinic schedule. When the physician is not in clinic, shifts will typically be shorter. Clinic days may require shifts of 8 to 12 hours to support patient care and operations. We anticipate approximately 64 to 80 hours per pay period, with flexibility required to meet clinic needs and provide coverage as needed. Responsibilities-Assisting with patient preparation and set-up for light therapy treatments
-Booking and confirming patient appointments
-Calling patients regarding scheduling and follow-up needs
-Filing and maintaining patient records
-Assisting with call backs and general administrative support
-Supporting day-to-day clinic operations
-Providing coverage for the Medical Office Assistant role during vacations or absences as needed Qualifications
-Comfortable working directly with patients in a clinical setting
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Ability to multi-task and adapt in a busy medical environment
-Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
-Previous medical office or healthcare experience is considered an asset, but not required
-Must be comfortable learning new systems and workflows
