Addiction Specialist - HART Hub Program
House of Friendship of Kitchener
Advance your career with House of Friendship as an Addiction Counsellor in the HART Hub program. Focus on delivering compassionate care for individuals facing homelessness and addiction challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting clients through tailored treatment and accommodation plans. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will apply therapeutic approaches that align with clients’ needs and stages of change. This full-time position requires travel within the Waterloo Region and professional registration. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform substance use assessments and referrals
- Develop and evaluate individualized treatment and housing plans
- Deliver evidence-based workshops addressing community needs
- Facilitate both individual and group therapeutic sessions
- Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations
- Degree in Counselling, Social Work, or related domain
- Current professional registration with OCSWSSW or CRPO
- Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant settings
- Expertise in addiction treatment and community resources
- Proficient in documentation and crisis intervention
