About Woodbridge Sports Dome Summer Champ Camp At Woodbridge Sports Dome, we believe sports play a vital role in every child's development. Our Summer Champ Camp offers high-energy, skill-building sports programming for boys and girls ages 4-14 , blending top-tier instruction with safety, fun, and unforgettable experiences.
Camp Details -Location: Woodbridge Sports Dome (7501 Martin Grove Road, Woodbridge)-Dates: July 2 - August 30 (9 weeks)-Hours (vary): 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Position: Summer Sports Camp Director
As the Summer Sports Camp Director , you'll be the driving force behind a smooth, exciting, and well-organized camp experience. You'll oversee daily operations, lead a team of coaches, and ensure campers leave with incredible memorieswhile parents leave with complete confidence in our program.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Logistics
- Manage sign-in/sign-out procedures for campers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Ensure the camp runs on schedule , resolving any disruptions swiftly.
- Oversee equipment setup, inventory, and maintenance.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise and support camp coaches , ensuring they follow the schedule and maintain high-energy engagement.
- Conduct weekly staff check-ins and provide feedback to optimize performance.
- Lead pre-camp orientation & training for coaches.
Program Development & Scheduling
- Design weekly camp activity schedules , balancing sports drills, games, and fun challenges.
- Adjust programming based on camper engagement and feedback.
- Organize special events, tournaments, and themed days to keep camp dynamic.
Parent & Camper Relations
- Serve as the main point of contact for parent inquiries and concerns.
- Address parent complaints professionally and promptly.
- Provide daily/weekly updates to families on camp highlights.
Administrative Duties
- Order and manage camp supplies and equipment .
- Track attendance, incidents, and program feedback.
- Assist in marketing efforts to boost camp enrollment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (required); post-secondary education in sports management, recreation, kinesiology, or education (preferred). -4+ years of camp experience (as counselor, coach, or director). -First Aid & CPR-C Certification (mandatory); High Five Certification (preferred). -Strong leadership you motivate, problem-solve, and keep energy high!-Organizational superstar schedules, logistics, and parent communications run smoothly under your watch. -Available full-time (must commit to all 9 weeks + prep weeks in June).
