Junior Accountant – 12-Month Contract (Fully Onsite)
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team for an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who is working toward a professional designation and is eager to develop their accounting skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and outstanding items
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support reporting and ad hoc analysis as required
- Assist with process improvements and special projects
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Working toward a CPA or other accounting designation is strongly preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUp,Formulas and data manipulation
- Dashboard creation and reporting experience is considered an asset
- Experience with an ERP system is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
