The Physician Support Position coordinates activities for professional staff, including physician and medical secretary service agreements, communication, onboarding, event planning, and compliance with hospital learning requirements. Under the direction of the Manager of Medical Affairs Operations, the job administers departmental policies and processes related to contracted services, physician quality, wellness, and the Professional Staff Organization. Serving as a liaison between leaders and front-line staff, the Position ensures timely, customer-focused support, fosters collaboration with stakeholders, and contributes to continuous process improvement in daily operations.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $32.33 per hour - $40.41 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a 2-year college certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Human Resources Management, Business or related as accepted by the Hospital
• 1-3 years recent related experience required
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is preferred
• Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; experience dealing with leadership and senior executives
• Ability to identify opportunities and strategies to enhance process efficiency and workflow
• Resource planning and performance measurement skills
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office 365 and corporate productivity tools
• Knowledge of local and regional health care system
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
• Ability to multitask as well as manage changing and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced high-volume work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate at a high level with senior management and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose, and values
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
