Manufacturing Lab Technician

Job Responsibility:
Job Summary:
? Complete the daily routines in the Quality Control office including, but not limited to, product validation by measuring, incoming product verification, lab testing, quality record keeping, spot-check audits and any other tasks assigned by the Quality Control Manager
? Assist with investigations and corrective actions. ? Release all products to semi or finished inventory.
? Perform inventory investigations and adjustments.
? Provide support for the Quality Management System and its requirements.
? Point of contact for QC Department in the event of QC Managers absence.
Duties:
? Responsible for the daily validation of product conformance through measurement of operator samples
? Responsible for the release of all products to semi or finished inventory.
? Responsible for all Incoming Inspections (Pipe, fittings, E/F, Fabricated, etc.)
? Maintain neat and accurate Quality records as per the Quality Management System
? Perform any required lab tests to confirm product or material conformance to CSA and ASTM standards.
? Conduct Measuring Tool Audit-Quarterly.
? Liaise with staff on Quality matters in a diplomatic and timely manner.
? Investigate and trouble shoot quality issues using root cause analysis, develop and assist with corrective action plans.
? Create records for all quality investigations.
? Comply with all components of ISO 9001:2015 which governs the Quality Management System
? Maintain and update the Quality Management System as required (documents, Master Doc List, revisions, updates, etc.)
? Process Moulding Production close-offs.
? Respond and draft up reports for all Customer Complaints (CCR, Root Cause, etc.)
? Inspection, sampling, and documentation of all Fabricated Fittings
? Responsible for validation of all First offs (Moulding, Machining, Trimming)
? Take part in or conduct Special Projects ? Assist with the Annual QMS Internal Audit ? Update QC Lab Temp. Log
? Issue and document CoC's.
? Conduct Quality Training reviews and follow up.
? Document Non-Conformances in NCR Incident Log
? Updating Product Spec Sheets (any changes must be implemented across multiple mediums - ex: Drawings, Product Spec Sheets, update the website, WIP folder)
? SPT Testing (issue test tree request, blow by testing, record keeping)
? Melt Flow testing (incoming resin, test, record, new lot #)
? Perform any other quality tasks required by Quality Manager
