Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role located in Sackville, NB. The Pharmacist ensures safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, assessing potential drug interactions, counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, and providing recommendations to prescribers when appropriate. The Pharmacist monitors inventory levels, oversees medication storage and handling, and supports the implementation of clinical services such as medication reviews, vaccinations, and health promotion initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with pharmacy assistants and other team members, maintaining complete and accurate patient records, and contributing to a positive, efficient, and inclusive pharmacy environment. Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist with the appropriate provincial regulatory body in New Brunswick. Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practice, including prescription review, drug interaction assessment, and patient counseling. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and professional standards, with a commitment to ethical and safe practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, prescribers, and pharmacy team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail. Comfort with pharmacy management systems, electronic health records, and other digital tools used in medication dispensing and documentation. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including inventory control, workflow optimization, and accurate record-keeping. Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying current with clinical guidelines, new therapies, and best practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical tasks associated with community pharmacy practice. Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy environment is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
