Strategic Planning Manager, Manufacturing Operations

Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, you will play a key role in defining, deploying, and evolving the global manufacturing strategy. You will work in an international manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with operations, finance, and human resources teams, as well as various manufacturing sites. Your goal will be to translate the organization’s long-term ambitions into concrete priorities, roadmaps, and action plans.

As a leader in strategic manufacturing planning, you will also help evolve strategic planning practices, tools, and capabilities throughout the organization.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Shape manufacturing strategy by conducting analyses, competitive studies, and monitoring best practices, trends, and megatrends to inform the medium- and long-term vision and direction.

• Orchestrate the strategic planning process and lead its execution in collaboration with operations, finance, human resources, and other key functions to translate ambitions into clear priorities and roadmaps, and ensure their governance and monitoring.

• Lead the deployment of the strategy across the global manufacturing network, ensuring a consistent cascade of priorities and alignment between the global strategy, functions, and the different sites.

• Develop the Strategic Planning Centre of Excellence by establishing the standards, processes, tools, and training programs to strengthen and align practices across the organization.

• Develop compelling analyses, narratives, and executive presentations to effectively communicate strategy, challenges, and recommendations to senior management, the Board of Directors, and key management forums.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; a master's degree or an MBA is considered an asset.

• Significant and relevant experience in strategy, strategic planning, transformation, management consulting, or within a complex manufacturing environment.

• A solid understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to link operational issues to financial, human, and strategic dimensions.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to structure complex issues, identify essential elements, and formulate clear recommendations.

• A proven ability to transform complex analyses into simple, compelling, and decision-oriented narratives and executive presentations.

• The ability to influence, mobilize, and foster alignment within a global matrix organization, without necessarily having direct authority.

• The ability to effectively navigate between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

• Fluency in French and English to collaborate effectively with international teams and sites.
