The Opportunity

Acumen Agency is seeking an experienced IT & AI Services Business Development Director to develop and lead our global technology and artificial intelligence business.

This is a sales-first, relationship-driven business development position focused on acquiring organizations that need IT services, software, artificial intelligence, automation, digital transformation, and technology consulting.

The ideal candidate will be highly comfortable with technology sales, networking, prospecting, relationship development, and closing business . An existing network of executives, business owners, technology leaders, or organizations requiring IT and AI solutions is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Acquire corporate, government, nonprofit, SME, and startup clients requiring IT and AI services.
• Develop relationships with CEOs, founders, CIOs, CTOs, IT directors, operations executives, and other decision-makers.
• Sell IT consulting, technology services, software development, AI solutions, automation, and digital transformation services.
• Identify organizations with technology challenges or opportunities that Acumen can address.
• Develop proposals, presentations, service packages, and commercial agreements.
• Build recurring technology and managed-service relationships.
• Develop partnerships with software companies, technology providers, developers, AI companies, cloud providers, and other technology organizations.
• Identify opportunities for technology outsourcing and managed IT services.
• Develop AI implementation and automation opportunities.
• Identify businesses that could benefit from AI-powered workflows, agents, automation, analytics, and process improvement.
• Develop cross-border and international technology opportunities.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and CRM.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, retainers, project agreements, and recurring service arrangements.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing clients into additional IT, AI, consulting, and digital services.
• Recruit and develop additional IT and AI business development professionals as the division grows.
• Train and teach other business development professionals how to prospect, network, sell technology services, develop relationships, and close IT and AI opportunities.
• Build Acumen's international IT and AI client and partner network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT sales, technology business development, software sales, AI sales, digital transformation, or related professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire clients and close technology-related contracts.
• Strong understanding of IT and emerging AI technologies.
• Existing relationships with business owners, executives, technology leaders, or organizations purchasing technology services are highly desirable.
• Excellent sales, networking, prospecting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable discussing technology solutions with both technical and non-technical decision-makers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to independently develop a substantial sales pipeline.
• Experience building or leading technology sales or business development teams is an asset.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

This position initially operates on a performance-based compensation structure , tied to client acquisition, contracts, recurring revenue, and measurable business development results.

As the division grows, there is an opportunity to transition into a full-time salaried executive leadership position , with the potential to build and lead Acumen Agency's global IT and AI services division.

Work Arrangement

Remote | Global | Flexible

The position can be performed remotely, with international travel and in-person meetings as appropriate for clients, technology partners, industry events, and business development opportunities.
