Residential Draftsperson / Construction Estimator

North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewans leading home builder, is seeking a Residential Draftsperson / Construction Estimator to join our Regina team for a one-year term, with the potential for extension or transition to permanent full-time employment.

Drafting Duties
- Prepare complete residential construction drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning bylaws, and engineering requirements.
- Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems with trade partners.
- Update drawings for client, site, municipal, and engineering changes.

Estimating Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates (including material take-offs) for production and custom homes.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes to maintain competitive project costs.
- Identify practical alternatives to reduce costs while maintaining design intent, quality, and performance.

Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Three or more years of relevant residential construction, drafting, or estimating experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in residential drafting and/or construction estimating. Drafting candidates should be able to provide examples of relevant construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building practices.
