Pfizer seeks a Medical Affairs leader to direct the Canadian vaccine and COVID-19 portfolio strategy. The role involves translating evidence and public health priorities into integrated medical affairs strategy, leading a team, and collaborating across functions to support informed decision-making by healthcare professionals and public health authorities.
Responsibilities
- Direct Canadian medical affairs strategy and annual operational plan for vaccine and COVID-19 portfolio
- Provide medical and scientific leadership across product lifecycle stages from pre-launch through established products
- Lead, mentor, and develop medical affairs team; establish priorities and support talent development
- Establish partnerships with healthcare professionals, public health experts, and immunization committees
- Oversee local evidence-generation activities including real-world data studies and epidemiological research
Requirements
- Leadership experience in medical affairs, vaccines, or infectious disease programs
- Strong scientific and strategic planning capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mobilize cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Canadian public health environment and immunization policy
- Experience with evidence generation and real-world data initiatives
- Expertise in regulatory compliance and medical governance standards
