THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone who is deeply online (in the best way possible). Someone who genuinely loves social media, content, trends, storytelling, and staying tapped into what people are talking about online.
This is a highly hands-on, creator-led role where you’ll concept, film, edit, publish, and optimize content across Flourish’s social channels. You’ll help shape how the brand shows up online, turning trends, ideas, and everyday moments into content that feels native to the platform and genuinely engaging to watch.
You understand what performs online, how content differs across platforms, and how to adapt trends in a way that feels authentic to the brand.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Content Creation & Social Media
- Own and manage day-to-day social content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms, with Instagram as the primary focus
- Concept, shoot, edit, and publish high-performing, platform-native and paid ad content at a high volume and velocity
- Must be comfortable appearing on camera for social content
- Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and Creative Director to bring content ideas, campaigns, and brand storytelling to life
- Develop and manage short and long-term social content calendars aligned with broader marketing initiatives and campaign priorities
- Stay deeply tapped into social trends, viral formats, internet culture, and platform opportunities, identifying ways for Flourish to show up in relevant and engaging ways
- Continuously test hooks, pacing, storytelling styles, editing approaches, and content formats to improve performance
- Build and maintain an organized content and video library for future editing, repurposing, and campaign use
- Support and contribute creative ideas across product launches, partnerships, activations, seasonal campaigns, and social-first brand moments
- Attend events, activations, shoots, and community moments for content capture and live social storytelling
Community & Brand Building
- Own and manage Flourish’s ambassador program, including creator sourcing, onboarding, engagement, activations, and relationship management
- Lead influencer outreach, gifting, creator partnerships, and community-led storytelling opportunities across social platforms
- Build relationships with aligned creators, influencers, and brand partners
- Fully own community management and customer service across social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook comments, DMs, and follower interactions
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor platform trends, creator strategies, and competitor activity
- Analyze content performance and use insights to iterate quickly and double down on what works
- Track and report on key social media KPIs including engagement, follower growth, reach, views, and community performance
- Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly social reporting, creative learnings, and optimization recommendations
- Improve content workflows and creative systems to support speed and scalability
WHO YOU ARE
- Deeply obsessed with social media, internet culture, trends, and what makes content perform
- Understands hooks, pacing, retention, storytelling, and platform-native editing styles
- Highly creative with strong taste and attention to detail
- Understands how to interpret data and take action from it, knowing both the art and science
- Comfortable moving quickly and operating in a fast-paced startup environment
- A self-starter with high ownership and strong initiative
- Equally comfortable brainstorming ideas and executing independently
- Passionate about wellness, lifestyle, food, fitness, or creator culture is a strong asset
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 2–5 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within a startup, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brand environment
- Strong video editing skills and experience using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar platforms
- Experience creating high-performing short-form content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Strong understanding of social trends, TikTok hooks, internet culture, and platform best practices
- Confidence filming content and appearing on camera
- A strong portfolio showcasing content you’ve created and social-first creative work
- Experience growing, managing, or contributing to social media accounts with measurable engagement and performance
- Experience working with influencers, creators, ambassadors, or UGC programs is an asset
- Experience using AI tools for ideation, editing, or creative workflows is a strong asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel for events, activations, shoots, and content capture when required. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required in support of events and activations, with time off in lieu provided.

- Hybrid role
- Toronto preferred, but open to candidates across Canada and the United States
- Travel to events and activations will be required
- Salary range: approximately $55,000–$70,000, based on experience
