Coordinator Quality Assurance

Job Responsibility:

The Coordinator, Quality Assurance is responsible for conducting Birks Group Quality inspections of jewelry. He /she is tasked with keeping all the Quality Assurance (QA) reporting tools up to date, communicating findings to relevant teams, and processing rejections. Additionally, he/she is responsible for photographing new items and rejections for QA purposes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect jewelry pieces for defects, damages, and quality issues.
• Verify the accuracy of dimensions, specifications, and alignment of gems or stones.
• Test the durability and strength of components.
• Prepares reports and provides quality feedback to internal and external clients
• Processes Quality Assurance rejections
• Maintains Quality Assurance Databases
• Participates in the development of procedures, quality control instructions and testing requirements in support of quality assurance requirements
• Takes pictures of new items as well as rejections for QA

Our Candidate Has….

EDUCATION

• Certification in Gemology or any relevant training.
• College Diploma in Photography, Graphic Design or related field (Asset)

EXPERIENCE

• 1 year of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of jewelry or gemological background (Must have)

SKILLS

• Ability to present information effectively to management
• Solid knowledge of Word and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of Excel
• Photoshop (Asset)
• Bilingual: French and English (spoken/written)
