We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Specialized IT Consultant specializing in IBM Maximo Manage to provide hands-on functional, configuration, and implementation expertise for an enterprise Maximo deployment. In this role, you will take technical ownership of configuring core asset, facility, and work management modules. Operating across the full implementation lifecycle, you will drive solution design, lead data migration tracks, specify ERP integration touchpoints, execute system testing, and support cutover, go-live stabilization, and knowledge transfer to operational teams.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days in office; remote options available for candidates outside the GTA)

Duration: 12-month contract (with two optional 6-month extensions)

Responsibilities
Core Maximo Functional Configuration: Design and configure core Maximo modules using Application Designer, Database Configuration, Security Groups, Organization, and Site setup utilities.

End-to-End Work Management Setup: Configure complete work management lifecycles, including Service Request (SR) to Work Order (WO) workflows, Job Plans, Preventive Maintenance (PM) hierarchies, Work Types, scheduling rules, and vendor/contractor execution paths.

Data Model & Asset Structure Setup: Build and maintain detailed Maximo data structures, including Assets, Locations, Classifications, Meters, and PM job plan hierarchies.

Legacy Data Migration & Mapping: Lead data mapping from legacy Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems to Maximo schemas, managing data validation, reconciliation, load cycles, and distinguishing data errors from configuration defects.

ERP Integration Specification: Author functional integration specifications and design touchpoints for connecting Maximo with ERP systems (such as SAP/SAP BTP), external APIs, error handling, and monitoring tools.

Testing & Defect Triage Leadership: Drive System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, providing root-cause analysis and defect triage across configuration, security, workflow, and data layers.

Deployment, Cutover & Stabilization: Participate in release management across development, test, pre-production, and production environments, supporting go-live cutover, hypercare, and post-implementation stabilization.

Knowledge Transfer & Governance: Prepare decision notes, design recommendations, configuration workbooks, and job aids to support post-go-live operational sustainment.

Qualifications
Maximo Configuration Seniority: 10+ years of direct, hands-on Maximo configuration experience, including Organization/Site setup, Application Designer, Database Configuration, Security Groups, and workflow design (Strictly Required).

Full-Cycle Implementation Track Record: Minimum 3 full-cycle Maximo implementations successfully delivered specifically as a Maximo Application/Functional Consultant (Strictly Required).

Work Management Mastery: Proven expertise configuring end-to-end Work Management processes (SR-to-WO lifecycle, Job Plans, PM hierarchies, scheduling, and vendor execution) (Strictly Required).

Maximo Data Model Depth: Advanced experience setting up Assets, Locations, Classifications, Meters, and structural PM hierarchies (Strictly Required).

Data Migration & ETL Experience: Hands-on experience mapping legacy EAM data to Maximo, leading validation and reconciliation cycles, and troubleshooting data vs. configuration defects (Strictly Required).

ERP Integration Literacy: Direct experience writing functional specifications and designing interfaces connecting Maximo to external ERP solutions (such as SAP).

Testing & Triage Competency: Proven ability to drive SIT/UAT execution, triage complex software bugs, and prepare environments for live cutover.

Soft Skills: Superior analytical reasoning, technical writing, and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
