Finance Business Partner, Canada

Position Overview

Key Finance Business Partner role within the North America Finance team, acting as a strategic business partner to the Convatec Canada General Manager. Reports to the Senior Director (Finance Business Partner) for AWC North America. Primary responsibilities include partnering with business teams to drive commercial performance, providing financial insights, storytelling, and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business to drive sustainable and profitable growth against annual plans and strategic objectives.
• Own annual operating plans (AOP), key forecast updates and monthly business results reporting, analysis and storytelling.
• Identify potential performance gaps and drive course correction through a balanced scorecard approach.
• Strategically allocate resources across channels and find ways to improve commercial productivity.
• Support development and tracking of investment initiatives and product/market launches, including business cases and post-event evaluations.
• Review commercial agreements and provide advice for negotiations, including pricing.
• Act as a senior representative in the finance function, sharing knowledge and building commercial acumen within GBS teams.

Key Requirements

• 10‑12 years of commercial finance business partner experience.
• Experience in MedTech or Life Sciences sector is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business turnarounds or ROI on commercial investments.
• Strong relationship building and communication skills across a matrixed environment.
• Analytical ability to assess complex business cases and commercial agreements.
• Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion and Power BI is an added advantage.
• Higher education in Business, Finance or Economics is desirable.
• CPA or equivalent accounting designation is an additional advantage.

• Languages: Excellent written and spoken English and French required.
• Travel: Position may require up to 15% travel.
• Working Conditions: Hybrid model, minimum one week per quarter in office.
