Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AI Lead/Solutions Architect to drive artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives across RBC. This role requires a strategic leader who can architect AI solutions, mentor teams, and translate complex technical concepts into business value. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in AI/ML engineering, full-stack development, and cross-functional project leadership.Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead R&D efforts in AI/ML applications for financial services, including document intelligence and automated decisioning systemsArchitect end-to-end AI solutions from model design to scalable deployment using modern frameworksDrive technical innovation through experimentation with cutting-edge methods including RAG, multi-agent systems, and transformer architecturesEstablish and maintain deployment pipelines for AI model implementation and monitoringProject Management & Strategy
Lead complex AI projects from conception to production, including solution architecture and system designCoordinate cross-functional teams including ML engineers, backend developers, data scientists, and business stakeholdersDevelop project roadmaps, load planning, and optimization strategies for AI implementationsEnsure smooth integration from prototyping to production environmentsTeam Development & Mentoring
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of applied innovation and technical excellenceGuide team members in understanding AI/ML concepts and their business applicationsProvide technical leadership in algorithm selection, model evaluation, and best practicesSupport professional development through code reviews, technical writing, and knowledge sharingRequired Qualifications
Technical Skills
Programming: Expert-level Python proficiency;
experience with JavaScript, SQL, and web technologiesAI/ML Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, HuggingFace Transformers, LangChainDevelopment: FastAPI, Django, Flask, RESTful API design and developmentData Technologies: PostgreSQL, data processing pipelines, ETL processesSpecialized AI: NLP, computer vision, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent systemsExperience Requirements
10+ years of professional software development or relevant research experience with strong Python background3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience in production environmentsProven track record of leading technical teams and complex AI projectsExperience with full-stack development and system integrationBackground in mentoring and developing technical talentPreferred Qualifications
Publications or research contributions in AI/ML conferences or journalsExperience in financial services or regulated industriesExperience with document processing, PDF parsing, and text extractionFamiliarity with prompt engineering and large language model optimizationKey Competencies
