We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our ICU Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.

Position Responsibilities

The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within the ICU Department.

The Registered Nurse is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis according to the standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and approved standards of care of the Corporation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Coronary Care Level 1 required
• Current BCLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification (completion preferred, or proof of completion within three (3) months of hire)
• Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance
• Completion of Critical Care Certificate (completion preferred, or commitment to enrolment and completion within six (6) months of hire)
• Coronary Care Level 2 preferred
• Experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Experience with mechanical ventilation preferred
• Excellent communication skills, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize care and adapt to unexpected change in patient acuity
• Demonstrated critical thinking decision making skills
• Acceptable performance and attendance records

Hiring Salary Range: $41.15 - $58.98

The duration of this temporary position is approximately 14 months.
