Shape the future of civil infrastructure at GIP in Toronto, Ontario, as a Senior Estimator. Drive accuracy in cost estimation for large projects while working with cross-functional teams.
This senior role focuses on heavy civil infrastructure, where you will lead the estimating process from initial bid reviews through to final submissions for projects valued from $30M to over $1B. Candidates should possess a degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience, with extensive knowledge of estimating practices, particularly for MTO projects and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage cost estimates for heavy civil infrastructure projects
• Maintain unit cost databases and perform quantity takeoffs
• Coordinate with teams to identify value engineering opportunities
• Analyze supplier quotes and ensure scope coverage
• Stay informed on market trends affecting cost strategies
Requirements:
• Degree in civil engineering or related field
• 7-10 years in civil estimating, especially on MTO projects
• Expertise in Class 1 cost estimating
• Proficiency with industry estimating software
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills
