Why Work Here Competitive Salary Bonus: yes, discretionary but small around 5K Vacation: 3 Weeks RSP: Yes, up to 5% match after 1 year of employment Benefits: yes after 3 months About the Opportunity Oversee Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, payment execution, vendor account reconciliations, aging management, and month-end close activities while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and approval requirements. Manage vendor master data governance, payment controls, and approval workflows to strengthen internal controls, mitigate fraud risk, and ensure timely resolution of vendor-related inquiries and issues. Administer the corporate credit card program and employee expense reimbursement processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and the timely resolution of exceptions. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, enhance controls, and support organizational growth. Develop, maintain, and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and process documentation. Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations. Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Accounts Payable function. Lead, coach, and develop Accounts Payable team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence. Partner with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders to improve workflows and support organizational objectives. Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives. About You Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting designation (CPA) or progress toward designation is considered an asset. Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, Shared Services, or related financial operations. Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience managing Accounts Payable or transactional finance teams. Experience working in high-volume transaction processing environments. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable best practices, vendor management, internal controls, and payment processing. Experience with ERP systems, accounts payable automation tools, and financial management platforms is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information effectively. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
