Senior Frontend Engineer, Client Portal (Toronto)

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in the full project lifecycle across the stack, with full ownership from conception to deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product owners, and designers to develop efficient, innovative solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conceptualize the design and development of interfaces and integration architecture.
• Document technical interface requirements and convert specifications into technical designs.
• Solve problems with extensive programming skills in multiple coding languages and frameworks.
• Optimize application performance and responsiveness to ensure a smooth user experience.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of hands‑on, relevant experience crafting applications and services that are intuitive and user‑friendly.
• Extensive experience in integrating with third‑party vendors while designing and implementing productive and dependable integration frameworks.
• Skilled in crafting RESTful APIs that adhere to industry best practices and standards, with a willingness to mentor fellow engineers.
• Strong grasp of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and familiarity with protocols such as SOAP, REST, and GraphQL, and server‑side languages like SQL.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical ideas and issues in clear, actionable terms.
• Bonus: experience with React and Typescript; experience in AI, legal tech, and social impact projects.

Compensation Range: CA$158,525 - CA$214,475
