Minami is looking for an experienced and versatile Bartender/Server to join our team in the heart of Yaletown.
We are a busy Japanese–West Coast restaurant with a strong focus on hospitality, quality ingredients, and a thoughtful beverage program featuring Japanese spirits, sake, wine, and creative cocktails.
This is a hybrid position for someone who is equally comfortable shaking cocktails behind the bar and taking care of guests on the floor. Shifts may be scheduled as either a bartender or lounge server depending on the needs of the restaurant.
The position will begin part-time, with the possibility of growing into a full-time role as more shifts become available.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous bartending and serving experience in a busy restaurant or cocktail bar (minimum 3 years)
- Is confident preparing classic and contemporary cocktails
- Is comfortable managing a section and providing full table service
- Has strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge
- Provides warm, professional, and attentive hospitality
- Works well under pressure and stays organized during busy services
- Is reliable, punctual, and communicates well with the team
- Is comfortable with bar prep, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining an organized workspace
- Is interested in learning more about Japanese spirits, sake, wine, and food pairings
- Has flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
