Dialpad AI Engineer for Speech Synthesis

As a member of the Speech Team, you will lead the backend implementation of TTS systems, ensuring seamless interaction between AI and human agents. This role emphasizes optimizing linguistic aspects of speech while building effective pipelines that support your engineering objectives and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage TTS integration with vendor APIs
• Optimize latency throughout the audio pipeline
• Format TTS inputs using your linguistic skills
• Construct persona parameter exposure for UI
• Design and evaluate structured LLM prompts
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in Speech Synthesis or speech ML
• Strong Python and hands-on deep learning experience
• Degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or AI
• Backend engineering in cloud services (preferred GCP)
• Fluent in speech metrics and evaluation methods
