Server Assistant

Created in partnership with hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto is the only North American location of world renowned Michelin Star Chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino’s Don Alfonso 1890. Sitting atop the iconic Westin Harbour Castle, on the edge of Lake Ontario, the spacious new location on the 38th floor, offers stunning views of the city skyline and Toronto’s harbor. Don Alfonso is currently seeking skilled Server Assistant to join our incredible team.

Job Description

Ensuring organization and cleanliness at all times Possess a working knowledge of the venue (location, direction, events, policies etc.) Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section Communicate with Managers and FOH staff during events to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue. Assist management and FOH staff in all necessary preparations and set up for events.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of fine dining experience as a Server/Food Runner is a must Wine knowledge is an asset Previous experience in a customer service position Strong oral communication skills High attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment Organizational skills and ability to multi-task Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum Must be legally able to work in Canada Please indicate which position you are applying to when sending your resume.
