1. Guest Service
Greet guests warmly and professionally
Explain menu items and make recommendations
Take food and beverage orders accurately
Serve food and drinks according to standards
Check guest satisfaction throughout service
Handle guest requests and concerns promptly
Process payments accurately
2. Sales & Upselling
Recommend appetizers, desserts, and beverages
Promote featured dishes and seasonal items
Increase average check through thoughtful upselling
Encourage repeat visits
Examples:

- This pasta pairs really well with a spritz.”
- Would you like dessert or digestif tonight?”
3. Service Standards
Maintain table sections and cleanliness
Follow opening and closing duties
Ensure proper table setup
Communicate efficiently with kitchen and bar
Maintain timing and pacing of courses
4. Teamwork
Support hosts, runners, bartenders, and kitchen
Assist during busy periods
Maintain positive workplace culture
Attend meetings and training
Requirements Experience
Previous serving experience preferred (1+ year ideal)
Fine dining / upscale casual experience preferred
Skills
Strong communication
Friendly and professional attitude
Multitasking ability
Basic food & wine knowledge
POS experience preferred
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays
