As the Data Governance Lead, you will spearhead the initiative to design, implement, and enhance data governance frameworks, aligning with business and regulatory goals. Your role includes defining risk indicators and overseeing metadata management efforts while collaborating with various teams to promote data quality. You will play a vital part in educating stakeholders on governance principles and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of data governance policies
- Establish key risk indicators for program effectiveness
- Oversee documentation of data lineage and metadata
- Collaborate to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Promote governance awareness throughout the organization
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant data governance experience
- Hands-on knowledge of governance tools
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities
- Must be authorized for full-time work in Canada
