Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values driven individual to join our dynamic team as Access Control Administrator. In this position, you will play a key role in the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and governance of Trans Mountain access control systems, including Genetec Security Center, Genetec ClearID, and Kantech systems. The Access Control Administrator is also responsible for the administration, maintenance, and governance of Trans Mountain key control system. The position plays a critical role in protecting personnel, assets, and infrastructure by enforcing access control processes and supporting system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Process access requests, modifications, and revocations in alignment with approval workflows and business rules.

Create, update, and manage cardholder profiles, credentials, and access levels within Genetec Security Center and Clear ID.

Manage cardholder access in Kantech systems, including card creation and assignment, validation of card numbers, and synchronization with Genetec systems.

Maintain audit trails and initiate access reviews using system reporting capabilities.

Coordinate periodic access audits by Area Approvers.

Coordinate card issuance, replacements, and deactivations.

Act as a central point of contact for access control requests and inquiries.

Generate reports on access activity, system usage, and compliance status.

Administer the key management process, including key issuance, key returns, inventory control, and audits.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

High school diploma required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in access control administration or physical security systems or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Genetec Security Center, Genetec ClearID, and Kantech Entrapass access control systems.

Experience with role-based access management, approvals, key control, and inventory management.

Strong understanding of access control principles.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

A track record of delivering high‑quality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization.

Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.

Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
