Occupational Therapist Assistant Role

Join our team as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, where you'll support therapeutic activities for patients in rehabilitation. Work under a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to enhance patient care. In this vital role, you'll organize and conduct individual and group therapy sessions, supervise OTA/PTA students, and participate in interprofessional meetings. Accurate clinical documentation and effective communication skills are essential. This position also includes monitoring therapeutic supplies and ensuring equipment functionality for optimal patient support. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct therapeutic activities for patients
• Supervise OTA/PTA students in a supportive environment
• Maintain inventory of assessment and therapeutic supplies
• Complete clinical documentation and workload measurements
• Attend safety meetings and identify potential safety issues

Requirements:

• Diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
• Proven professional judgment in patient interactions
• Previous experience in rehabilitation preferred
