Carpenter - Modular Construction

Corner-Cast is looking for an experienced and motivated shop Carpenter to oversee the daily operations of its modular container-based manufacturing shop, while actively participating in on-the-floor work with the production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, allocating labor, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and supporting production schedules in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter or joiner with strong leadership skills who enjoys working directly with the team in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications Coordinate the workflow between the steel, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and finishing departments Monitor productivity, quality control, and manufacturing standards Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and procedures the company Coordinate material deliveries, equipment use, and shop logistics Participate in production planning meetings and provide updates on schedules Resolve production and manufacturing issues directly on the shop floor Lead by example through active involvement in daily operations Lead and participate in the assembly and fabrication of modular container-based structures Support the carpentry teams at all stages of production and assembly Coordinate material handling and workshop organization

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a foreman or leadership role is considered an asset
• Strong practical carpentry and assembly skills
• Experience in modular construction or container conversion is considered an asset
