1. Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and professionally
- Explain menu items and make recommendations
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Serve food and drinks according to standards
- Check guest satisfaction throughout service
- Handle guest requests and concerns promptly
- Process payments accurately
2. Sales & Upselling
- Recommend appetizers, desserts, and beverages
- Promote featured dishes and seasonal items
- Increase average check through thoughtful upselling
- Encourage repeat visits
Examples:
- “Would you like to start with our burrata?”
- “This pasta pairs really well with a spritz.”
- “Would you like dessert or digestif tonight?”
3. Service Standards
- Maintain table sections and cleanliness
- Follow opening and closing duties
- Ensure proper table setup
- Communicate efficiently with kitchen and bar
- Maintain timing and pacing of courses
4. Teamwork
- Support hosts, runners, bartenders, and kitchen
- Assist during busy periods
- Maintain positive workplace culture
- Attend meetings and training
Requirements Experience
- Previous serving experience preferred (1+ year ideal)
- Fine dining / upscale casual experience preferred
Skills
- Strong communication
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Multitasking ability
- Basic food & wine knowledge
- POS experience preferred
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
