Do you have exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills? The City of Burnaby is looking for Front Counter Clerks to work at the Main Detachment on an auxiliary basis. This front-line work involves clerical and typing. Our Front Counter Clerks assist and provide information and assistance to outside agencies, check and process various forms and applications, operate PRIME and related RCMP computer applications and use related equipment. The role performs other related work as required.

The ideal candidate will have availability for on-call coverage and will have completed Grade 12 including or supplemented by commercial courses and typing or word processing courses and RCMP computer operator's courses plus sound related experience, preferably in an RCMP detachment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have the ability to operate a computer terminal with speed and accuracy. Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of files, records, statistics and reports. The ability to operate PRIME and related RCMP computer applications, and related equipment is preferred. Successful applicants must obtain and maintain an Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance.

Pay Rate: $31.58 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits 

Location: Burnaby RCMP Detachment

Hours of work : This is an auxiliary position, hours and shifts are based on operational requirements and do not provide guaranteed hours of work, which may include on-call shifts. The hours can range between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with operations 7 days a week, including statutory holidays.
