Controls Integration Specialist

What you will do
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Controls Department as we are actively recruiting for a Controls Integration Specialist . This position reports to the Controls Integration Manager.

What we’re looking for
- Create, develop, and integrate Process and Safety PLC programs
- Understand and setup machine communication protocols
- Design HMI graphics, system diagnostics, status and alarm messaging
- Integrate robots (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Nachi, Motoman, Panasonic etc.) for various process applications including GMA (gas metal arc) welding, resistance spot welding, material handling, continuous path dispensing, and vision systems.
- Configure and integrate resistance weld controllers and GMA power sources
- Develop welding processes
- Configure and integrate vision systems
- Integrate servo and VFD systems
- Demonstrate proficiency across a variety of software platforms
- Perform machine start up and onsite commissioning at customers facilities (valid passport, driver’s license and ability to travel outside of Canada required)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Maintains an excellent attitude in all situations
- Demonstrates a great work ethic and dedication
- Show genuine passion and enthusiasm for the job
- Technical diploma or Engineering degree in a controls-related field
- Working knowledge of MS Office

Wage range: $25 - $30 hourly
