Spécialiste en conformité douanière : votre mission
à titre de Spécialiste en conformité commerciale, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la gestion et le maintien de la conformité des activités d'importation et d'exportation de l'entreprise.
Vous contribuerez directement à la réduction des risques réglementaires, à l'optimisation des processus douaniers et à l'efficacité globale de la chaîne d'approvisionnement internationale.
Ce que vous ferez au quotidien en tant que spécialiste en conformité douanière
- Assurer la conformité des activités d'importation et d'exportation avec les réglementations canadiennes, américaines et internationales.
- Prendre en charge la classification tarifaire, les droits de douane, les règles d'origine et l'évaluation en douane.
- Effectuer une veille réglementaire proactive et communiquer les impacts aux différentes équipes internes.
- Participer aux audits internes et externes liés à la conformité commerciale et douanière.
- Maintenir à jour la documentation, les registres et les bases de données d'importation.
- Ãlaborer, documenter et améliorer les procédures opérationnelles normalisées (SOP).
- Former et accompagner les équipes interfonctionnelles sur les meilleures pratiques en conformité commerciale.
- Analyser les problématiques liées au dédouanement et mettre en place des solutions efficaces.
- Soutenir les initiatives d'optimisation des droits de douane, notamment dans le cadre des accords commerciaux tels que l'ACEUM/CUSMA.
- Examiner et valider les documents d'expédition, certificats, permis et factures commerciales.
- Collaborer étroitement avec les courtiers en douane, transitaires et organismes gouvernementaux afin d'assurer le bon déroulement des opérations internationales.
La liste des indispensables comme spécialiste en conformité douanière
- DEC en chaîne d'approvisionnement, logistique, commerce international, douanes ou domaine connexe.
- Minimum de 5 à 7 années d'expérience en conformité commerciale, conformité douanière ou logistique internationale.
- Expérience démontrée dans la gestion et la préparation d'audits douaniers.
- Excellente connaissance de l'audit de bases de données d'importation.
- Solide maîtrise des règles de détermination du pays d'origine.
- Bonne compréhension des réglementations douanières et commerciales nord-américaines et internationales.
- Capacité à analyser des situations complexes et à proposer des solutions concrètes.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en collaboration avec divers intervenants.

- Expérience avec un système ERP, notamment Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Certification CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist).
- Certification CITT (Canada's Logistics Association).

Trade Compliance Specialist : Your Opportunity
As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all import and export activities comply with applicable Canadian, U.S., and international trade regulations.
Your expertise will help reduce compliance risks, support operational efficiency, and strengthen the organization's global supply chain activities.
What You'll Be Doing as a Trade Compliance Specialist
- Ensure compliance of import and export activities with applicable Canadian, U.S., and international trade regulations.
- Manage tariff classification, customs duties, country-of-origin requirements, and customs valuation activities.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their impact to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external compliance and customs audits.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation, records, and import databases.
- Develop, update, and improve trade compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide guidance and training to cross-functional teams on trade compliance best practices.
- Analyze and resolve customs clearance issues and shipment delays.
- Support duty optimization initiatives, including USMCA/CUSMA qualification and duty-saving opportunities.
- Review and validate shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, permits, certificates, and related records.
- Coordinate activities with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure smooth international operations.
The Must-Have List as a Trade Compliance Specialist
- College diploma (DEC) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Customs, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, or international logistics.
- Proven experience managing and supporting customs audits.
- Strong knowledge of auditing import databases.
- Solid understanding of country-of-origin determination and customs compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of North American and international trade regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
