Intermediate to Senior Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant

Responsibilities
- Prepare all documents required for sale, purchase, and mortgage financing transactions from start to finish, including reporting to clients and lenders
- Review and request real property reports, certificates of title, title insurance and related documents
- Receive and disburse funds and accurately account for same
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate an efficient transaction process
- Work within a team environment
- Perform administrative duties specific to the team’s needs
- Prepare and manage billings for various lawyers
- Prepare closing books in relation to real estate transactions
Qualifications
- Post-secondary or a combination of work experience (minimum 5 years) in real estate (preferably commercial)
- Solid practice management experience working for multiple lawyers.
- Corporate experience is an asset
- Experience with Alberta Land Titles and PPSA searches
- Experience in conveyancing software, PC Law and NetDocuments is an asset
- Attention to detail
- Experience with general due diligence
- Team oriented
- Highly organized
- Dependable and can also work independently
- Flexible and adaptable
