Elevate rail transit with WSP as a Lead Traction Power Engineer. Your expertise will shape traction power systems enhancing the safety and sustainability of transit infrastructure throughout Canada.
WSP seeks seasoned professionals to design high-impact traction power systems. In this role, you’ll utilize your expertise to conduct studies, prepare engineering calculations, and ensure alignment with Canadian and international standards. Your collaboration with various engineering disciplines will drive successful project completions and comprehensive safety integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform AC and DC traction power studies
- Analyze loads, faults, and protection coordination
- Review engineering drawings and technical calculations
- Develop grounding designs aligned with safety regulations
- Participate in risk assessments and multidisciplinary design reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- P.Eng. in Ontario, or eligible to obtain
- Minimum of 10 years in traction power engineering
- Expertise in relevant engineering standards
- Solid technical writing and communication skills
