Technical Underwriting Expert - National Accounts

CNA Insurance

Become a Technical Underwriting Expert at CNA, focusing on National Accounts Casualty. This role requires significant expertise in assessing and underwriting complex casualty risks. You will manage a unique casualty book, using strategic thinking and advanced analysis to assess exposures and develop competitive pricing strategies. Your responsibilities will include negotiating terms with key brokers and maintaining strong relationships to position CNA effectively in the market. Mentor junior underwriters as part of your contribution to team development. Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite large multi-layered casualty programs proficiently
Strategically design customized coverage options for clients
Analyze market trends and performance for risk management
Lead negotiations with brokers for competitive program terms
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance overall risk evaluation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; certifications preferred
8-10 years in casualty underwriting, focusing on national account complexities
Strong communication and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and innovative underwriting tools
Effective leadership and multitasking abilities
