Elevate financial operations with The City of Calgary as the Deputy Director of Portfolio Finance. Lead strategic initiatives while managing diverse finance teams for enhanced efficiency. In this senior role, you will report directly to the City Treasurer and oversee 7 Finance Divisions. Your expertise in operational management and financial strategy will be critical in achieving capital and operating budgets while ensuring outstanding service delivery. This role embraces inclusivity, collaboration, and the highest standards of financial governance. Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic finance initiatives for operational efficiency
Provide expertise in finance processes and organizational change
Manage the annual capital and operating budget processes
Guide Finance Managers in strategic direction and staffing
Foster innovation and improve financial practices across the board

Requirements:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 8 years of management experience in finance
Proven success in leading finance teams and change initiatives
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
Political acumen and commitment to innovation
