Travel Benefits Coordinator/Supervisor - Deployment Support (Fredericton)

Overview

CFMWS supports Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families by providing programs and services that enhance mental, social, physical, financial, and familial well‑being. Employees deliver recreation, sports, fitness, financial assistance, retail services, and family support.

THE ROLE

As a deployed Travel Benefits Coordinator or Supervisor, you will coordinate travel for CAF members and their families while abroad. The role involves planning vacations, conducting briefings, offering advice, and ensuring policies and financial claims are processed correctly. Supervisors lead coordinators, manage schedules, performance, and overall department operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and administer travel arrangements for CAF members.
• Provide logistical support and customer service for deployed personnel.
• Conduct briefings and training sessions for travelers.
• Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Create and maintain electronic filing systems and databases.
• Manage the travel department (for supervisors), including schedules and performance management.
• Plan recreational activities, outings, and events to support morale.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

• College diploma or certificate in Tourism and Travel, Business Administration, Adult Training, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s licence (province) and Canadian citizenship.
• Valid Canadian passport.
• Experience in planning and administering travel arrangements.
• Experience in providing logistical support and customer service.
• Experience in conducting training sessions and presentations.
• Office administration skills.
• Conflict management and advising skills.
• Ability to create and maintain electronic filing systems and databases.

Additional Qualifications Prior to Deployment

• Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment.
• Security screening.
• Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to walk and lift, carry, pull, or push heavy items.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

• English Essential – Reading, Writing, Oral: Functional.
• Bilingual Essential – English & French – candidates meeting this requirement will be considered for all available positions.

JOB INFORMATION

• Position type: Civilian deployment contract – 6‑month term.
• Deployment start dates may occur within the next 2years.
• Hours of work: Up to 56hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
• Location: Latvia.
