Shipping & Receiving Assistant (Part-Time)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Assistant to support our warehouse operations and shipping/receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Job Details Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 3 days per week(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Wage: $20 per hour
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Key Responsibilities
Prepare shipping documentation using company computer systems and online platforms
Contact freight carriers to obtain freight rates and coordinate shipments
Load and unload products safely and efficiently
Process incoming products in accordance with company policies and procedures
Inspect incoming shipments for damage and initiate freight claims when required
Place received products into inventory and maintain accurate records
Pack, label, and ship product returns to vendors
Participate in regular inventory counts and stock verification
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area
Assist customers when required
Maintain warehouse and office workspace
Assemble and clean equipment and products as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
2–3 years of warehouse and/or shipping & receiving experience
Experience coordinating freight shipments and preparing shipping documentation
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
Forklift experience preferred
Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position (3 days per week) .
