The City of Vaughan is looking for a dedicated Fire Prevention Inspector. This position involves inspecting properties, advising on compliance with fire codes, and conducting fire-related investigations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are needed to effectively educate the community about fire prevention and ensure adherence to safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect various properties for fire code compliance
• Provide guidance on effective fire prevention practices
• Identify violations and enforce necessary corrections
• Gather and analyze data for reports
• Support fire investigations with evidence collection Requirements:
• Completion of post-secondary diploma in Fire Protection
• Minimum of one year relevant experience
• NFPA 1031 Level I certification required
• Robust interpersonal skills for public engagement
