Arcadis is seeking Site Supervisors to join our Construction Management Team at the Kitchener/Waterloo, London and St. Thomas offices. In this role you will support the Contract Administration and Site Inspection teams on key municipal and major infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Observe, document and verify that construction activities are carried out in accordance with Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, project specifications and the overall design intent. Monitor field activities and ensure design requirements are properly implemented on site. Conduct regular site observations of construction activities related to rail, transit and infrastructure works, verifying compliance with IFC drawings, specifications and industry standards. Document and record all required hold points, witness points and observations as defined in Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other procedures. Maintain accurate site surveillance reports, including detailed written documentation and photographic records of construction progress. Develop and maintain inspection, surveillance, and progress tracking tools to support the construction management team. Communicate field observations, potential non‑conformances and design‑related issues to the Engineer of Record (EOR) and project team. Facilitate site surveillance activities, respond to technical queries, and assist in resolving issues related to RFIs, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Field Change Requests. Participate in site coordination and progress meetings, providing input on construction progress and design‑related matters. Support the design team in the review of shop drawings, material submittals and Inspection Test Plans where these relate to site conditions and field implementation. Promote Arcadis’ commitment to safety, quality and environmental stewardship, maintaining effective communication and coordination among the project team. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. 5–7 years of relevant field inspection, construction observation or field engineering experience, preferably on large‑scale heavy civil municipal infrastructure projects. Working knowledge of applicable standards and codes (CSA, OPSS, Ontario Building Code, AREMA, municipal and provincial requirements). Familiarity with design review processes and Construction Phase Services within a consulting engineering environment. Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete structures, MEP systems, track infrastructure, excavation support systems and related infrastructure components. Excellent documentation, reporting and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with tracking or project documentation systems. Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is an asset but not required. The salary range for this position is $89,000 – $120,000. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience and qualification for the role. Equal Opportunity Employer
